At long sweet last

Okay, Okay... so maybe I am the world's biggest slacker when it comes to this blog thing.  I mean, it's only been 8 months, right?! Anyway, in my defense, the first 3 months were a blur. A sweet, crazy, snuggle-filled blur made up of many out-of-state travels, diaper changes, swaddles, late nights, early mornings and of course, lots of smooches and squishes!  Then I had to go back to work and it was a crazy adjustment of Derek and I having opposite schedules (me working 8-3 everyday.. derek working 3-9 almost every night plus weekends), and I was instantly thrown into the 'full-time working mama' and oh-by-the-way 'hope you don't mind being by yourself all night with the baby'.  I must say that I have a new, deep-found respect and admiration for single mamas.  No joke, mad props to you superstar ladies!  After a few months of that madness, not to mention conquering the entire holiday season, we were all burnt out and needed a change. So here I am, 3 weeks into my official 'stay-at-home-mama' title, and I must say I am loving it!  The first week we all got sick, and then there were like, I dunno, 12 loads of laundry, and then our fabulous friends came to visit from LA, and then we celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary and valentine's day.. so ACTUALLY this is the first 'real' week that I have felt like a true stay at home mom, and I am finally beginning to settle into a routine, if you will.  It has been amazing for Derek and I (and Olivia too, of course!), and it is also amazing for all of you since I now have time to post to our blog! yay! So without further ado, I will be starting with the first week of Livvie's life (no no, don't worry! I won't go week by week... I will go month by month) and I will add little brief little 'blurbs' here and there, but mostly I will just keep the pics and vids coming so you can feast your eyes on our baby's cuteness.  I must warn you though.. she is so ridiculously, adorably, out of control that you may want to smooch her little face off. We actually get to.  It's fun.  Anyway, here's a little sneak peek at her.

I will be starting the posts tomorrow and it will probably take me a week to get 'up-to-date', so please be patient.. I mean hey, you've already waited 8 months, so what's a few more days, eh? xoxo!
